In Path of Exile 2, the trade chat buzzes with requests for White Stellar Amulets, which fetch between 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. Many players might wonder why these items command such high prices. The value of these amulets lies in their potential to be transformed into highly sought-after gear, and understanding this can help you decide whether to sell them or keep them for personal use.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Normal rarity Stellar Amulets, which only have the implicit “+# to All Attributes,” hold significant value because they can be converted into the Astramentis Stellar Amulet using an Orb of Chance. Astramentis is one of the most valuable Unique Amulets in the game, offering a massive boost of +80-120 to All Attributes. This attribute increase can synergize powerfully with items like the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, enhancing a character’s attack speed and lightning damage based on their Intelligence and Dexterity.

The key point here is that only 'White' Stellar Amulets can be used to attempt this transformation. Neither Blue (Magic) nor Yellow (Rare) Stellar Amulets qualify, which explains why Normal Stellar Amulets are more valuable than their upgraded counterparts.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance

Given the extremely low probability of converting a Stellar Amulet into an Astramentis using an Orb of Chance, attempting this transformation is generally not advisable. Even using 100 Stellar Amulets might not yield an Astramentis, making it a high-risk endeavor. While there's always a chance of striking it lucky, the odds are stacked against you.

Deciding whether to sell your White Stellar Amulets or attempt the transformation is a personal choice. Selling one can earn you between 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on current market rates. Alternatively, you might choose to gamble and try your luck, but remember, it's a high-risk, high-reward situation that each player must weigh individually.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt transforming your Normal Stellar Amulet into Astramentis, place the amulet in your inventory, right-click on the Orb of Chance, and then left-click on the Stellar Amulet. The possible outcomes of this gamble are:

  • The item is destroyed.
  • The item is upgraded to a unique amulet sharing the same base. For the Stellar Amulet, there are two potential unique outcomes:
    1. Astramentis
    2. Fixation of Yix

The more common result, if successful, is the Fixation of Yix, which is far less desirable than the Astramentis. If the attempt fails, the Stellar Amulet is likely to be destroyed.
