Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to roll out some thrilling updates that fans have been eagerly awaiting. The much-anticipated trading feature is finally making its way into the game, alongside the exciting Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Soon, you'll be able to swap cards with your friends directly within the game, enhancing the social aspect of your Pokémon TCG experience.
Mark your calendars for January 29th, 2025, when trading will be introduced to Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will hit the game. This update also brings fresh new covers for your digital binder and display board, featuring the iconic Sinnoh legends Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.
The trade feature, which has been a long-awaited addition, requires two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. The cards eligible for trading are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, you'll be able to trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions. The developers have promised to include more tradeable cards in future updates, so keep an eye out for those.
The Space-Time Smackdown expansion dives deep into the Sinnoh region of Pokémon TCG Pocket. This expansion introduces two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with stunning new card illustrations. Fans will also get to see the steel-and-fighting powerhouse Lucario, as well as the adorable Sinnoh starter Pokémon Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.
