Where to Find Rosa’s Book in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2)

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing side tasks can lead to permanent failure, and Rosa's book is one such easily overlooked quest. To embark on this quest, you must first complete "Via Argentum" and initiate "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage into Maleshov to rescue Hans, and during this conversation, she'll ask you to retrieve her book. Make sure to inquire about the specific book and promise to bring it back to her, which will officially start the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. Failing to find the book before leaving with Hans will cause the quest to fail, and you'll miss the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards on the upper floor leave the tower.

Sneak up the stairs to a room where you'll encounter Lady Ofka, who is facing the fireplace. Silently approach from behind and knock her out. Collect the keys from her, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. In this same room, to the right of the fireplace, you'll find Rosa's book in a window alcove. Pick up the red book to update your objective to return it to Rosa.

While you're in the vicinity, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his unexpected guest. After collecting the items, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans is reluctant to use the passageway, you can advance your romantic prospects with him by selecting the dialogue option with a heart symbol, provided you chose the same option in Trosky. Sneak to the northern stables of Maleshov, neutralizing and hiding guards as necessary to clear a path for Hans. Signal him and ensure his safe passage to the stables.

Once you've opened the gate, another cutscene will play, concluding the quest. After it ends, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's eagerly awaited book in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
