Saber Interactive has reaffirmed its commitment to all previously announced projects, despite the lack of updates on high-profile titles like the much-anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. In a recent statement, Saber Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits took to social media to assure fans that the studio is diligently working on a diverse portfolio of games across various genres.
"Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world," Willits emphasized. "We are actively developing numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have announced is still in development, and we will share more details when we have exciting updates to reveal."

The most notable project in Willits' statement is undoubtedly the KOTOR remake, a project shrouded in mystery since its announcement in 2021. The game has undergone multiple developer transitions, faced apparent development halts, and restarts, yet remains elusive after four years. In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the KOTOR project was part of their portfolio following the split from Embracer Group, and reassured that it was still actively in development.
"It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch stated at the time. "It's been widely reported in the press. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to ensuring we exceed consumer expectations."
Willits' recent comments reaffirm Karch's earlier assurance, though fans have yet to see anything beyond the initial announcement video for the KOTOR remake.
In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive has a robust lineup of games in the pipeline. Titles such as John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are slated for release in 2025, though specific dates remain unannounced. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Adding to the excitement, Saber Interactive recently announced Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. For more details on what chapters and enemy factions might feature in this upcoming title, be sure to check out IGN's comprehensive article.
