Tencent Delays ‘The Hidden Ones’ Playtest

The highly anticipated pre-alpha playtest for The Hidden Ones, the action brawler based on Hitori No Shita: The Outcast, has been rescheduled. Originally slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have pushed the playtest back to February 27th, 2025. This two-month delay will allow the developers to refine the game and ensure a superior player experience, as announced on the game's official website.

A Deep Dive into The Hidden Ones

Immerse yourself in a thrilling martial arts world steeped in Eastern philosophy, blending Taoism, Yin Yang, and modern combat. The Hidden Ones challenges players to master unique character abilities and understand their underlying philosophies.

The game unfolds through a cinematic storyline exploring the lives of the Outcasts. Players will navigate multiple levels, facing progressively challenging bosses, each representing a chapter in the overarching martial arts saga and evolving alongside the player's progress.

Multiple game modes cater to diverse playstyles. "Duel" mode pits players against each other in intense battles, while an "action roulette" mechanic allows for dynamic skill acquisition mid-fight. A challenging "trial" mode features a series of escalating boss encounters demanding mastery of various characters and fighting styles.
