World of Warcraft to Increase Prices in Australia and New Zealand
Starting February 7th, Blizzard Entertainment will adjust the prices of World of Warcraft in-game services for players in Australia and New Zealand. This price increase affects all in-game transactions, including subscriptions and WoW Tokens, citing global and regional market conditions as the reason.
Players with active recurring subscriptions as of February 6th will retain their current rates for up to six months. This isn't the first time WoW has adjusted pricing; however, the US price has remained at $14.99 since 2004. The upcoming changes will bring Australian and New Zealand prices closer to the US dollar equivalent, though currency fluctuations remain a factor.
The new pricing structure for Australia and New Zealand (in AUD and NZD respectively) is as follows, effective February 7th:
