ArtClash - Paint Draw & Sketch

Paint, draw, and share your creativity with others through ArtClash, a unique platform designed to inspire daily practice in drawing, sketching, and cartooning. ArtClash is not your typical drawing app like Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter; it's a work in progress, with the first game already completed and more exciting features on the way.

ArtClash was specifically designed to motivate individuals to hone their artistic skills every day. It's a one-man project, crafted with love for my wife and me to practice regularly, and to encourage others to do the same.

Current Features:

• Paint: Enjoy the freedom to sketch, paint, and blend your creations.
• Import Images: Use images as references or paint directly over them.
• Engage with Topics and Constraints: Select from a variety of topics and optional constraints like time limits, color limits, or canvas sizes. Earn points based on how many people correctly guess your drawing!
• Difficulty Levels: Choose from 6 levels of difficulty, ranging from single-word topics to complex combinations of up to 5 words including nouns, verbs, places, and timer periods.
• Constraints for Extra Points: Opt for challenges such as time, colors, or canvas size for additional points.
• Free Draw and Share: Unleash your imagination with free drawing and share your art with the community.
• NSFW Flag: Optionally view images marked as NSFW by other users.

Current Early Access Issues/Bugs:

• Ugly UI: The current Unity UI has been challenging, and a switch to XAML is planned for a more responsive and better-looking interface.
• Canvas Size Limitation: For optimal performance on lower-end devices, keep canvases under 1024x1024. The GPU-accelerated brush engine can slow down with larger canvases and small brushes. Tests with other engines are planned to improve speed.

• More Games: Starting with a "telephone" game using drawings.
• Enhanced Social Features: Change avatars, add comments, friend and follow other users.
• Improved UI and Brush Engine: Addressing current bugs for a smoother experience.
• Advanced Tools: Introducing marquee selection and transform tools.
• Expanded Brush Options: More brush textures and the ability to share custom brushes.
• Enhanced Layer System: Improved functionality including locking transparent pixels and masking.
• Developer Communication System: A feedback mechanism for feature requests, bug reports, and community voting on future changes.
• Moderators: Community members can be promoted to help moderate flagged content and address issues.
• User-Generated Content: Allow submissions of new topics and constraints for community moderation and inclusion.
• Future Capabilities: Plans for full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.

Although ArtClash currently faces performance issues with large textures and lacks some advanced editing features, it is tailored to foster a sense of social competition and encouragement among artists. Stay tuned for more updates and features as ArtClash continues to evolve!
