Airi might not be the most eye-catching character in Blue Archive, but her unique support toolkit can be a game-changer in the right situations. In this RPG, she's celebrated for her ability to manipulate attack speeds through debuffs and buffs, making her an invaluable asset when controlling the tempo of battle is crucial, rather than just dealing raw damage. While she may not be a common choice for everyday play, Airi truly shines in specific late-game raids such as ShiroKuro (Insane), where her skills effectively manipulate boss mechanics.
However, Airi isn't essential for newcomers or general progression. Her EX Skill demands a high SP cost and is highly situational, and her overall impact can be underwhelming in scenarios where enemies remain in cover or are stationary. Yet, for seasoned players aiming to fine-tune their strategies for endgame raid encounters, Airi proves to be a valuable tool when strategically employed.
Airi’s abilities focus on controlling speed. Her Sub Skill automatically enhances the Attack Speed of all allies, while her Basic Skill frequently diminishes the Attack Speed of a single enemy. This combination can subtly shift battles in your favor, particularly in situations where disrupting or delaying enemy attacks is key.
When building Airi, prioritize her survivability and uptime over damage stats to ensure she remains a consistent presence on the battlefield.
During combat, Airi operates mostly passively. Her Sub and Basic Skills trigger automatically, requiring minimal player intervention, which makes her an easy support option to integrate into your team.
If you decide to deploy her EX Skill, do so when enemies are funneling through narrow passages or clustered together. The slow effect can hinder their ability to reposition or initiate attacks swiftly. In ShiroKuro raids, her abilities are particularly effective at manipulating boss attack patterns, thereby boosting team damage in phase 2.
However, outside of these specific scenarios, the EX Skill's high SP cost and its provision of only soft crowd control make it less appealing. Unlike the game's top-tier characters, Airi won't be a regular pick for most players, but she excels in her niche. For late-game challenges like ShiroKuro (Insane), her toolkit offers unique utility that can significantly impact outcomes when timed correctly. Otherwise, she remains a specialized support character, best reserved for content that aligns with her strengths.
If you choose to include Airi in your team, prioritize her Sub Skill and integrate her into groups that benefit from speed-based support. For optimal control over her skill activations and raid strategies, consider playing Blue Archive on PC with BlueStacks for enhanced performance and smoother gameplay.
