ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile Achieves Million Player Milestone

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition's Impressive Debut: 3 Million Downloads in Three Weeks

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition, the free-to-play mobile spin-off of the popular ARK: Survival Evolved franchise, has achieved a remarkable milestone. Within just three weeks of its December 18, 2024 launch, it surpassed three million downloads on iOS and Android.

This success comes despite mixed initial reviews. The game's strong performance significantly outpaces the 2018 mobile port of ARK: Survival Evolved, boasting a 100% increase in downloads. This launch follows the successful 2022 Nintendo Switch port of ARK: Survival Evolved, also developed by Grove Street Games, highlighting the developer's consistent success within the franchise.

Currently, ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition maintains a strong presence in app store rankings, holding a position among the top-grossing adventure games on both platforms (24th on iOS and 9th on Android). While user reviews are mixed (3.9/5 on the App Store and 3.6/5 on the Google Play Store), the high download numbers indicate significant player engagement.

Publisher Snail Games has confirmed that Grove Street Games is actively developing new content, including maps like Ragnarok, Extinction, and both Genesis parts, to further expand the game's already extensive dinosaur-filled world. Furthermore, the game is slated for release on the Epic Games Store in 2025, offering players increased platform choice.

This successful launch of ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition follows recent updates regarding the future of the ARK franchise, including a roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended and the anticipated (though delayed) release of ARK 2. The continued success of the mobile edition points to a bright future for the ARK franchise across multiple platforms.
