Bandai Namco Unveils Digimon Alysion: Digital Card Game

Bandai Namco is set to launch Digimon Alysion, a digital adaptation of the Digimon Card Game, on Android and iOS platforms. This free-to-play game, announced at Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th, doesn't have a confirmed release date yet. The event also brought news about the continuation of Digimon Liberator with a new arc in April 2025, a special video celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime, and the announcement of a new RPG titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger for consoles and PC, as well as a new project called Digimon Adventure: Beyond.

Digimon Alysion: More Than Just a Card Game

Digimon Alysion isn't merely a direct translation of the physical Digimon Card Game. It introduces 'DigiAly' cards, a new feature designed specifically for this mobile version, along with original cards. The game will also feature new Digimon and characters, expanding the universe in unique ways. The character lineup, predominantly consisting of female characters, marks a distinctive choice for the game, sparking curiosity and some skepticism among fans who were expecting a more traditional adaptation.

This isn't Bandai Namco's first venture into Digimon mobile gaming; however, their previous attempts have not been successful. This history adds a layer of caution among fans about the potential success of Digimon Alysion. Despite this, anticipation for the game remains high. A closed beta test is planned, though specifics are yet to be revealed. For more information, check out the official website or follow their updates on X.
