Catch Mastery Event: First Bird Pokémon Arrives in Pokémon GO!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for an exciting lineup of events! The game is bustling with the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and now the Catch Mastery event is set to make waves as part of the Might and Mastery festivities.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event is all about celebrating Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll see an increase in wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with a chance to encounter their Shiny variants.

Archen will be up for grabs as a Field Research reward, boasting an enhanced Shiny encounter rate. To sweeten the deal, the event offers fantastic XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and additional XP for Curveball Throws.

Don't miss out on the Timed Research, which challenges you to catch Rock-type Pokémon. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters. It's the perfect opportunity to bolster your collection!

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Gear up for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is set to learn a new Charged Attack, Brutal Swing, which will become a permanent addition to its move set. This powerful move will deliver 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be bumped up to 20. Additionally, you can snag up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, giving you a total of six for the day.
