CS2 incoming: Halo Infinite Set to Launch S&D Extraction Mode with Deep Economic Mechanics

Halo Infinite, while perhaps not dominating the headlines like some competitors, continues to receive consistent content updates. A recent addition, the competitive game mode "S&D Extraction," offers a compelling new strategic experience.

Inspired by Counter-Strike's core gameplay, S&D Extraction puts a unique spin on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off: attackers attempt to plant a device at a designated location, while defenders strive to prevent them. Teams switch roles after each round, with the first team to win six rounds claiming victory.

A significant element of S&D Extraction is its robust economic system. Players earn in-game currency by completing objectives, using these earnings to purchase equipment at the start of each round. Prices fluctuate dynamically based on player performance, ensuring a constantly evolving meta. Importantly, all purchased gear is lost at the end of each round.

Item costs reflect their power and effectiveness. Expect cheaper items early in the match, escalating prices mid-game, and potentially even more expensive options available later if players strategically save their earnings. Furthermore, players will have the option to pay for respawns after elimination.

Launching in 2025, S&D Extraction promises a fresh and engaging competitive experience for Halo Infinite players, blending familiar tactical gameplay with innovative economic depth.
