by Patrick Apr 28,2025

Drug Dealer Simulator Schedule I continues to captivate players, maintaining its status as one of Steam's most-played games. The game's developer, Tyler, has now released the first significant post-launch update, version 0.3.4, which is currently available for testing on the beta branch. According to Tyler's announcement on the game's Steam page, this beta version will be accessible for a day or two before its official release. Players eager to try out the new features can opt into the beta branch immediately.

Tyler noted that while the beta doesn't include all the features planned for the full release, it was important to release it quickly to allow testing of the new wall-mounted objects and the pawn shop interface. "This beta doesn't quite contain 100% of the features coming in the full release," Tyler explained. "I'll be adding a few more decorative objects tomorrow [April 8]. I wanted to get this beta out ASAP so that the new wall-mounted objects and pawn shop interface can be thoroughly trialled."

Upon its launch, Schedule I soared to become the top-selling game on Steam, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. The game's viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube has attracted a massive player base. In Schedule I, players start as small-time dealers and work their way up to becoming drug kingpins, managing the production and distribution of various substances in the gritty city of Hyland Point. Expansion of their empire includes acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler under the banner of TVGS, Schedule I's launch has been described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." Tyler expressed his surprise and gratitude on Reddit, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
