EA's Highly Anticipated Free-to-Play Skate Sim, Skate., Opens Console Playtesting

Are you eager to experience the thrill of EA's latest free-to-play skateboarding game, Skate. (stylized as skate.)? The wait is finally over as console playtesting is now underway for PlayStation and Xbox users. While a specific date for the PC beta remains unconfirmed, you can still register as a Skate Insider to stay in the loop.

After its initial announcement in June 2020 and various teasers along the way, Skate. is now open for console playtesting. According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, testing has been ongoing since at least December, with some activity possibly dating back to September. Full Circle, the game's developer, continues to invite fans to sign up for playtesting as development progresses.

To participate in the beta, head over to EA's official website and visit Skate.'s page to register for Skate Insider Playtesting. Not only will you get an early taste of the game, but as a tester (or Insider), you'll also receive exclusive rewards, including an in-game skateboard and stickers upon the Early Access launch.

Skate. is slated to enter Early Access in 2025, marking a significant milestone nearly a decade after Skate 3's release. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, Skate. is designed as a free-to-play, live-service game, promising an "authentic evolution" of the beloved series, as highlighted by Full Circle in a previous YouTube interview.
