Fumi Games and PlaySide Studio have unveiled new details about their upcoming title, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire. This first-person shooter, boasting a striking visual style reminiscent of 1930s cartoons, has already generated significant buzz.

Players step into the shoes of private investigator Jack Pepper, navigating a world brimming with jazz, dynamic events, and the shadowy underbelly of a noir-infused city. The game promises explosive combat and a compelling single-player narrative. A key highlight, emphasized on the game's official X account, is the complete absence of microtransactions: "MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will NOT contain microtransactions. We are creating a stunning single player shooter full of noir atmosphere and explosive combat scenes that we put our hearts into creating." This commitment to a purely single-player experience, devoid of in-app purchases, is a refreshing departure from industry trends.

Inspired by the charm and grit of vintage 1930s cartoons, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire offers a unique aesthetic, echoing the distinctive rubber hose animation style of that era. As Jack Pepper, you'll confront mobs, gangs, and corrupt politicians, utilizing a diverse arsenal of weapons, power-ups, and explosives to restore order to the chaotic city. The game blends classic first-person shooter mechanics with a playful, cartoonish sensibility, evident in its whimsical weaponry, unique health display, and stylized enemies.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is slated for release sometime in 2025.
