Taiko-san Jiro 2 TJA File Player Application

This application is designed to play TJA files from the PC software "Taiko Sanjiro 2". Please note that due to the vast variety of Android devices, we are unable to test on all models. We regret to inform you that we do not support devices that fail to launch the application.

We do not provide assistance or information on obtaining TJA files or skins. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How to Add a Song

1. Initial Setup: Upon first launching the application, a "TJA" folder will be automatically created in the root directory of your device's storage or SD card.

2. Organizing Songs: Create a genre-specific folder within the "TJA" folder and place your TJA file inside this genre folder.

3. Genre Classification: If a "genre.ini" file is absent from the genre folder, the songs within will be categorized under "Uncategorized".

4. Score Saving Issue: If you are unable to save high scores on devices running Android 4.4 or later, this functionality may not be supported.

5. Record Location: Navigate to the settings and select your preferred "record location" for your files.

How to Add a Skin

• Skin Compatibility: The application supports skins from "Taiko Sanjiro 2", though some features may not be fully implemented.
• Incompatible Skins: Skins from the original "Taiko-san Jiro" are not supported.
• Default Theme: Refer to the "theme-default/default.csv" file for default settings.
• Performance Note: Be aware that performance may vary depending on your device model and the complexity of the skin data.

Contents of genre.ini

For a folder to be recognized as a genre folder, it must contain a "genre.ini" file with the following format:

• Android Security Update: Due to recent Android security enhancements, the application can no longer access folders outside of its designated app-specific directories. If you have updated the application, please manually copy the default "/TJA" folder to "Android/data/com.daijiro.taiko2/files/TJA" using a file management application.

• Bug Fixes: Various bugs have been addressed to improve the overall user experience.
