Marvel Rivals players have expressed their excitement on social media for the Midnight Features event quests introduced in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. NetEase Games has much to celebrate, with Marvel Rivals receiving a DICE award nomination and being voted the top new game in PlayStation's Players' Choice for December 2024. Additionally, the launch of the new season saw the game break its concurrent player record on Steam.
Currently in the early stages of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, NetEase Games is already sharing future plans with fans. In a recent interview, the developers revealed their intention to release a new playable hero in Marvel Rivals every month and a half. While Season 1 will feature the entire Fantastic Four within three months, future seasons will have less content. However, the steady introduction of new characters continues to excite fans.
On Reddit, user Useful_You_8045 praised the Season 1 Midnight Features event quests, particularly appreciating their availability across multiple game modes, including Quick Play, Competitive, and matches against AI. This flexibility allows players to experiment with new heroes or focus on challenges in a less competitive environment. Additionally, some players have expressed satisfaction with the rewards, such as the Gallery Card offering a first glimpse of Blade in Marvel Rivals.
Fans have quickly noted that NetEase Games has enhanced the visual presentation of these event quests, adding to their appeal within the season. When players access the Events tab, they encounter a Midnight Features newspaper, where each headline and animated image introduces new quests. While not all quests are currently available, they are expected to fully unlock on January 17. Completing all event quests rewards players with a free Thor skin in Marvel Rivals.
The improvements made by NetEase Games in Season 1 have been well-received by the gaming community. Players appreciate the addition of two free skins in the battle pass, new maps, a new game mode, and balance changes to maintain fairness among the game's extensive character roster. With NetEase Games attentively addressing community feedback and desires, many players are optimistic about the future of the popular hero shooter.
