"Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.: Uses and Acquisition Methods"

by Brooklyn Apr 09,2025

Navigating through the challenging levels of the co-op game *R.E.P.O.* with your friends is a thrilling experience, and reaching the Service Station after a victory is a significant milestone. At the Service Station, you have the opportunity to enhance your gameplay by purchasing various weapons and upgrades, including the invaluable Energy Crystals. Let's delve into what Energy Crystals do in *R.E.P.O.* and how you can acquire more of them.

What Are Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.?

Energy Crystals are dazzling yellow gems that become available at the Service Station after you successfully complete the first level. These crystals, which can cost between $7,000 and $9,000, are typically more affordable early in the game when the difficulty is at its lowest. If you manage to navigate through the initial challenges without taking too much damage from the monsters, you'll be in a good position to stock up on these crystals right away.

Once you've purchased an Energy Crystal, it will generate an Energy Container/Station inside your R.E.P.O. truck. This container is a game-changer, as it allows you to recharge essential tools like the Valuables or Extraction Tracker by simply placing them inside. Not only does this reduce the need for costly replacements, but it also helps save money for your team in the long run. To start the recharging process, place your item in the bin next to the container, which is marked with a distinctive yellow lightning bolt, and get ready to tackle the next Clown, Gnome, or Shadow Child with renewed vigor.

Energy Crystals will automatically appear in the container once purchased, so there's no need to worry about them not being in the truck waiting for you like some other items. However, keep in mind that these crystals don't have an unlimited lifespan and will eventually break after repeated use. You'll need to replace them to continue using the container. Generally, one crystal is sufficient to refill four battery sections of an item, and six crystals can fully charge the Energy Container.

How to Get More Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.

Energy Crystals can only be purchased at the Service Station, and as mentioned earlier, they can be quite expensive. To ensure you have enough cash to stock up on these crucial items, it's essential to loot and scavenge as many valuables as possible in each level. Only when you complete a level with sufficient funds will the Taxman send you to the Service Station.

In particularly challenging locations, it's sometimes wise to focus on surviving the level with just enough money to progress, rather than risking it all and potentially losing your valuables in the process.

And that's the scoop on what Energy Crystals do in *R.E.P.O.* and how you can acquire more to keep your team well-equipped and ready for the next adventure.
