Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the international players.
Two Months Remain
In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased. The global release, launched in June 2020, has concluded its chapter. Despite its attractive visuals, soundtrack, and generous gacha mechanics, the game received a mixed reception globally.
Unlike its successful Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked key content updates like Solistia and 6-star units, a significant factor in its waning popularity. This content disparity, present for nearly a year, contributed to player attrition.
Community Feedback
Square Enix has shuttered several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games, adding to the closure of Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global service.
This classic turn-based RPG, rooted in the SaGa franchise, offers players two months left to enjoy its gameplay. For newcomers, there's still time to explore the game on the Google Play Store.
