This groundbreaking competition allows Japanese university, graduate, and vocational school students (18 years or older) to form teams of up to 20 members, each assigned roles mirroring those in professional game development. Over six months, teams will create a game using Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE, receiving mentorship from experienced Capcom developers to learn cutting-edge techniques. Winning teams will receive game production support and the potential for commercialization.

The competition opens for applications on December 9th, 2024, and closes on January 17th, 2025 (unless otherwise announced).

Leveraging the Power of RE ENGINE

Developed in 2014, Capcom's RE ENGINE (Reach for the Moon Engine) debuted with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017 and has since powered numerous successful titles, including other Resident Evil installments, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. This continuously evolving engine will provide students with the tools to create high-quality games.
